| Coach Trish Diem I love to watch this sport grow. I want more people to experience the joy I feel when you cross the finish line. It's not about placing; it's about having the best race I can have at that day, at the time. I have so many people ask me why I have I smile on my face during and after races, I tell them I feel truly grateful for the ability that I have to compete in multiple sports. I have to share my life with my fulltime job, with my family as a wife, mother of three, soccer coach and church responsibilities. I have a passion to share the sports I truly love with as many people who will let me and show them that training is possible no matter how busy you are. Experience I have always been a runner. I fell in love with running at an early age and I started competing at a state level when I was only 8. I kept running throughout middle and high schools until stress fractures in my hips on two separate occasions forced me to scale back. I stopped running for a short period of time but after having a baby I needed the benefits only training could provide but wanted to compete in more than running. I remember watching the Ironman World Championships on TV when I was a kid and telling myself that someday that would be me. I've been racing triathlons between pregnancies over the last 5 years and have competed in * Several 5k, 10k and half marathons * Nearly 30 triathlons including * 2 Ironman distance * 5 Half Ironman distance * 20 Olympic distance * a handful of Sprint distance and Duathlons 2007 Results * five overall Top-3 finishes * age Group State Champion * represented Idaho at the Best of the US Amateur Championships * qualified for USAT Nationals and a bid for Ironman World Championships Education I'm not a certified coach but have a genuine passion to help people achieve their racing goals through the years of knowledge I have gained from competing; without all the mistakes. Interests swimming, biking, running and putting them all together. Outdoors, camping, crafting, snowmobiling, organizing and sleeping (those 4:30 a.m. workouts can be killer). Tip Use extreme caution when deciding whether racing is for you... it's HIGHLY addictive! |
